Empty Promises and White Lies!!
Last week we were promised 12-18 inches of snow, and maybe upstate came close, but here in the better burrow of Brooklyn, we only got about 9 inches. Which I guess is really nothing to laugh at. But still not what was promised.
Now I do agree that the snow has its disadvantages just as much as the advantages I see, But its still snow, and I really do love the snow.
I work in a field that involves driving all day, so work and snow, ill agree, not fun. I also do a lot of walking in the snow, and when it comes to a pair of boots that doesn’t have any more traction than a bald tire, i get the problem with walking in the snow. And then in some crazy parts of New York you’re also faced with the towering piles of snow and dirt that block your path and force you to find a new way to work. but its all a fun adventure, assuming it all works out.
But i still had a good time in this last blizzard, it might have involved a lot of shoveling sidewalks that just get covered right back up, berried cars that have no chance of getting out, and large roadblocks of snow piles, but it also involves the ability to sled down the street, and it really is just a beautiful site.
